Pastor’s Thoughts
Greetings,
In just a couple of days’ time we will be celebrating Easter. Easter is a sacred day during which we honor the resurrection of Jesus Christ—a powerful symbol of hope, renewal, and the promise of eternal life. This season invites us to reflect on how these themes can shape our lives. The first theme of Easter is Hope: Just as Christ rose from the dead, we are reminded that hope can emerge from despair. In our busy lives, we often face challenges that seem insurmountable. Let us take inspiration from the resurrection to find hope in the midst of our struggles. The second theme of Easter is Renewal: Easter is a time for spiritual refreshment. It encourages us to shed old habits and embrace new beginnings. I encourage you reflect on areas in your life where you can grow and invite God’s transformation. John Wesley, the founder of the Methodism, emphasized the importance of personal holiness and social justice. He believed that faith should be lived out through acts of love and service. This Easter, consider how you can embody Wesley’s teachings by engaging in acts of kindness within your community. Whether it’s volunteering, supporting a friend in need, or simply being a listening ear, let your faith inspire your actions. The possibilities are endless. Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a theologian and martyr, taught us about the cost of discipleship and living authentically in faith. His reflections remind us that true faith often requires sacrifice and commitment. In today’s world, standing firm in your beliefs may come with challenges. As we celebrate Easter, let us commit to living out our faith boldly. Bonhoeffer’s example calls us to be courageous, advocating for justice and truth, even when it’s difficult. Join us for our Easter Service on April 5th at 10:30 AM. We will celebrate with inspiring music, uplifting messages, and community fellowship. Let’s come together to share our hopes and renew our spirits.
Yours in Christ, Pastor Stanton
